I wrote Empires Fall as a bit of a sampler of different metal genres and I wanted it to be heavy and come at you hard. I feel like that has been acheived. The album doesn't really let up.

Topics in my songwriting are ranging but several tracks do take a strong political stance with the state America is currently in. Besides that I did mix it up a little with Lycanthopy & Moonlight Madness dealing with werewolves which is kind of a underwritten topic compared to vampires, also Crown Of Suffering (The Master) kind of a brutal black metal track.

I managed to create songs that incorporated Black Metal, Grindcore, Death core, Power Metal, Speed Metal, and Thrash Metal.

I wrote this album as a full story from beginning to end, I started off with a somewhat historically accurate tale of the unnamed wife of Vlad the Impaler telling her story of Vlad's brother taking over the family castle while he was away at war, he returns home and in desperation makes a deal with The Morning Star to become a undead creature of the night. He takes his revenge on his brother and takes back his home. In the midst of the carnage to accidentally turns a unsuspecting servant Lilith into a vampire also and for a time they rule the castle together but times change and soon Vlad awaits the arrival of Johnathan Harker to start his life anew in London.
