Pride and Steel - Here Be Monsters

I have to be honest, I didn't go into this album expecting it to be as good as it became as I listened to it. The first tracks are very much at home as a background to play Elders Scrolls or Baldurs Gate to. Lyrics are thoughtfully written and catchy. Halfway through it morphs into some very strong power metal, progressive style tracks with great instrumental technicality and power and even some female vocals mixed in. As a whole this album was quite the enjoyment to listen to and I definitely recommend checking it out.

I give this a 8.5 out of 10. Very well done.
